DAY 01: ARRIVE AT VIRAATKHAI (CHAKRATA) (1900M) :
Arrive at Viraatkhai for the lunch. Initially you will drive through the plains of Doon valley and later an hour drive through the mountains which will take you to the property. Set in terrace fields on a ridge top the camp has fabulous views all around. Musoorie is right in front and the Yamuna valley down below. Today we will go for a trek which starts from Viraatkhai camp and climbs to a mountain top called Julkha Ka Danda offering great views of the Himalayas in the North and beautiful Yamuna Valley in the south. The trail continues on ridge and take you to the vantage point Jhulkiya Danda from where you witness high range of Himalayas, including Black Peak, Swargarohini & many more. Later descends to a forest leading to Nagthat, where the vehicle awaits for you. We will drive down to the campsite for evening hot cup of tea. Overnight in Viraatkhai.
DAY 02: VIRAATKHAI (CHAKRATA) (1900 M) - TREK TO DEOBAN (2800 M) (TREK 3-4 HRS & DRIVE/1 HR) :
Post breakfast; pack your day bags for a beautiful journey into the outdoors. Drive from lodge to reach Chakrata Town, further on to Deoban Forest Check point. After reaching forest check post which is our starting point, we will start our trek. Trek to Deoban, also known as “God’s own forest” & are celebrated for the raw beauty of nature. Once you reach Deoban, you will be greeted by a clearing meadow, distinct varieties of birds for birding enthusiasts. Towards afternoon, set up the campsite & relax by the beautiful environs. By evening light up a bonfire & enjoy the peaceful surroundings of Deoban. Overnight at Deoban.
DAY 03: DEOBAN (2800m) - VYAS SHIKHAR (3100m) - KANASAR (2150m) - VIRAATKHAI (CHAKRATA)(1900m) (TREK 3.5 - 4HRS & DRIVE/3-3.5 HRS) :
Today we will wake up early to capture the great views of the Greater Himalayas. We will have a cup of hot tea & start our trek to Vyas Shikhar. The walk is just 30 mins from Deoban campsite. After reaching Vyas Shikhar, one can capture the sight of Himalayan peaks like Bandar poonch, Swargrohini, Black peak, Gangotri group of peaks and many more. After spending some quality time we will return to Deoban and relish our breakfast & continue our trek towards Kanasar, a picturesque location near Chakrata. After reaching Kanasar, we hop on the vehicle to drive back to the camp towards evening. Overnight in Viraatkhai.
DAY 04: VIRAATKHAI (CHAKRATA) (1900M) - YAMUNA BRIDGE (RAFTING & OTHER WATER ACTIVITIES) - VIRAATKHAI (CHAKRATA) (1900M) (DRIVE/2 HRS) :
After breakfast you will drive down for about 40 mins to reach Yamuna Bridge. Here you will get to enjoy multiple water activities like rafting, kayaking, body surfing, swimming and splashing. You will raft on the Yamuna river along a very scenic landscape. After you finish rafting you will have a picnic lunch by the river side. Post Drive back to the lodge in the late afternoon/evening and enjoy bonfire. Overnight in Viraatkhai.
DAY 05: DEPART
After a leisurely breakfast, check out & be driven to Dehradun. The trip ends here.
