DAY 01: SIEM REAP ARRIVAL
Welcome to Siem Reap, Cambodia! Upon arrival our guide will pick you update, transfer to hotel. Check in time 14.00. The rest of the day is free at leisure and Overnight in Siem Reap.
DAY 02: ANGKOR WAT TOUR
After breakfast at the hotel, we spend a full day discovering the famous Angkor Complex. We enter the South Gate of Angkor Thom Temple and marvel at the wonders of the eerie Bayon, the terrace of Elephants and the terrace of the Leper King.
Afterwards, we continue and visit Ta Prohm temple, shrouded in the jungle and left untouched since it was found by French explorers in the 1850s. In the afternoon we visit the Angkor Wat Temple. This architectural master piece was built in the 12th century, took 30 years to complete and represents the Khmer civilization at its grandest. Covering 81 hectares, it is one of the largest religious monuments ever built. Late afternoon, we enjoy the superb sunset view at Pre Rup temple and Overnight in Siem Reap
DAY 03: DAY TRIP TO PHNOM KULEN TRIP – TONLE SAP
Depart for Phnom Kulen, an impressive sandstone plateau in this otherwise flat area. Travel to the top and learn about the origins of the empire while venturing from temple to temple, many of which are hidden by nature. Continue to the unusual River of 1000 Lingas, a riverbed carved with Hindu gods and other religious symbols. Be amazed at this set of underwater carvings which are around 1000 years old.
This afternoon we will enjoy a boat ride on the Tonle Sap Lake. This is the largest permanent fresh-water lake in South East Asia and flows into Tonle Sap River, joining the Mekong in Phnom Penh. We will see a fishermen's "floating village" with floating schools, floating police station, etc. It is same as a big village floating on the lake, and the "village" move from place to place following water levels and current. Head back towards Siem Reap and Overnight in Siem Reap
DAY 04: SIEM REAP – DEPARTURE
Breakfast at hotel. Free time at leisure until transfer to airport for your departure flight.
