DAY 01: ARRIVE GUWAHATI – SHILLONG (150 KM / 2 -3 Hrs)
Meet and greet at arrival and then transfer to Shillong. The ‘Scotland of East’ visit Umium Lake/Park – “Barapani”, Popular among the locals for its adventure water sports like row-boats, paddle-boats, cruise boats, sailing boats, water scooters and speed boats.
This is a very popular place for picnic, fishing and watersports. In the evening you can visit the Police Bazaar. Overnight stay in Shillong.
DAY 02: SHILLONG – CHERRAPUNJEE
After Breakfast,in hotel check out and drive to Cherrapunjee.The sightseeing points: Elephant Falls, Mawkdok Dympep Valley View, Wah Kaba Falls, Thangkhrang Park, Nohsngithiang Falls, Nohkalikai Waterfalls, Mawsmai Cave and Arwah Cave. Later check in at hotel and Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.
DAY 03:CHERRAPUNJEE – DOUBLE DECKER ROOT BRIDGE TREK
Breakfast at hotel and start trekking to the Double decker root bridge and swim in the natural swimming pool and Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.
DAY 04: CHERRAPUNJEE –MAWLYNNONG – DAWKI - PYNURSLA
After early breakfast excursion to Mawlynnong and then Drive to Dawki (Tamabil – Indo Bangladesh Border and Umngot River), It’s the bordering town to Bangladesh town Tamabil. On the way visit places like Indo- Bangladesh Friendship border, Dawki River, Balancing Rock, Single Root Bridge & Mawlynnong Village and return to hotel.
Optional: Boat ride in Dawki – Umgnot River. (ON DIRECT PAYMENT BASIS) and Overnight stay in Pynursla.
DAY 05: PYNURSLA – JOWAI – KRANGSURI FALLS – NARTIANG - SHILLONG
After Breakfast, visit Krangsuri Falls and then excursion to Nartiang to visit Durga Temple, the Monolith of Jaintia Kingdom. Monoliths exist throughout the length and breadth of the Khasi and Jaintia Hills. Return to hotel and Overnight stay in Shillong.
DAY 06: SHILLONG CITY TOUR AND EXCURSION TO LAITLUM CANYON
Breakfast at hotel and excursion to Laitlum Canyon (Hiking trail). The hidden canyon will make you fall in love with Meghalaya, Laitlum Canyons is a haunt of the mountainous state of Meghalaya. Visit Don Bosco Centre for Indigenous Culture [DBCIC], Ward’s Lake, and Lady Hydari Park.
Overnight stay at Shillong.
DAY 07: SHILLONG – GUWAHATI
After breakfast at hotel hit the road to Guwahati.Check in at hotel and you can go for sightseeing according to time. Visit State Emporium, Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra (A museum of Assam diverse culture). Temples like - Maa Kamakhya temple, Shiva temple in the island and the only way to go there is through a ferry and visit Umananda Island (The smallest inhabited island of India) -at the evening walk around the market and can find shops with fine “Muga Silk” dresses and Overnight stay at Guwahati.
DAY 08: GUWAHATI DEPARTURE
After Breakfast at hotel transfer to Guwahati Airport / Railway station for your departure.
